As others have noted, this is a great book. It captures people who are too rigid and too perfect. Almost every chapter, I thought to myself, "this is me!" There are solutions in the book, but it will not come easy. Most of the solutions involve awareness (as often in life, /5().   Too PerfectMaddy, Christine, and Amy, friends since college, are thrilled to learn their old suitemate's self help book, How to Have a Perfect Life, has become a smashing bestseller'until they realize she used them as negative examples of how women let fear mess up their lives.5/5(5). This is the only self-help book that I know of for the condition known as Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD). (Different than OCD.) These types of people like to be in control, can be indecisive, perfectionistic, demanding of others, think too much, worry too much, and work too much/5.   As I couldn’t find any Christian books which dealt specifically with this subject, I bought Too Perfect: When Being in Control Gets Out of Control, put on my Calvin spectacles and started reading.
